Antonio Larosa’s New Single “On Your Own”

BC Artist Antonio Larosa

We’re really excited to introduce you to Canadian artist Antonio Larosa. His latest single “On Your Own” is a great song that you’re going to want to add to your playlists and play over and over.

At the first sound of the guitar, this song sets the mood for Antonio’s rich and velvety voice. As a song, “On Your Own” is really chill and easy to listen to – but you’ll be finding yourself humming along to the melody almost instantly. Larosa’s voice is complimented so beautifully with the guitar.

“On Your own” is a song about a selfish relationship. The narrator of the song comes clean about how he only goes to this person when he needs something. It’s about encouraging the person he’s talking to, to leave him because they’re “better off on their own”.

It’s a really interesting take on a break-up song. You don’t often hear songs from the perspective of the person deciding to call it off.

“This song was written from the perspective of someone coming clean in their current relationship.” Antonio says, “one that is fuelled by selfish motives of convenience and avoiding feelings of loneliness. We thought we write with a different direction being the giving end of coming clean instead of the receiving.”

We hope you love this song as much as we do! You can listen to the songs below. We can’t wait to hear what’s next for Antonio Larosa!

Lyrics to “On Your Own” by Antonio Larosa

Sitting here with your heart in my hand
Tired of talking I’m trying to understand

You tell me that I’m yours to hold
I never knew I’d be so cold
While you’re in love I’m letting go
I think it’s time I let you know

I only love you when I’m all alone
I only call you when I’m feeling low
So while I’m rolling harder than a stone
I think you’re better off on your own

You and me were never part of the plan
Made it clear drew a line in the sand

You tell me that I’m yours to hold
I never knew I’d be so cold
While you’re in love I’m letting go
I think it’s time I let you know

I only love you when I’m all alone
I only call you when I’m feeling low
So while I’m rolling harder than a stone
I think you’re better off on your own

I only love you when I’m all alone
I only call you when I’m feeling low
So while I’m rolling harder than a stone
I think you’re better off on your own

On your own On your own
On your own On your own
On your own On your own
Yeah I think you’re better
I think you’re better off on your own

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
