Danielle Ryan returns to the music scene with a new single and music video, “Take Me Back”.
On the track, Danielle sings about a romantic relationship, and questions where things went wrong.
The track starts slow and sad, but quickly picks up the pace when Danielle asks her lover to “take me back to when we were all in” on the chorus.
“Take Me Back” highlights Danielle’s storytelling abilities and her unique lyrical rhythm.
The BC native dropped the video on her YouTube channel earlier this month. It stars model and actor Henry C King alongside Danielle herself.
Over the course of the song, Danielle imagines her and her partner across different time periods. It’s full of fun throwback outfits and cute choreography.
The video has already amassed over 100,000 streams in less than a month. Adding over 50,000 streams on Spotify alone, it’s clear to see that Danielle’s newest track is making big waves in the country scene. “Take Me Back” is currently featured on three official Spotify playlists, including “All About Country”.

The new single follows a slew of tracks from Danielle over the course of last year. The streak started with “Weather Man”, which remains her most streamed song on Spotify. From there, she dropped three more singles before the end of the year, including a Christmas-themed song titled “Ain’t Christmas Without You”.
Danielle’s musical journey, which started when she was just 13, has taken her all the way to Nashville, where she currently resides. She names Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, and Johnny Cash as her biggest inspirations.
With Danielle already becoming a mainstay in Canadian country, we can’t wait to see what an EP or album from her will look like when the time comes. For now, you can keep up with Danielle by following her socials, and keeping your eyes on Front Porch Music.
