One of our driving forces is to help you discover new music from emerging Canadian country artists. We are excited to introduce you to Katelyn Lehner and her debut single “Red”.
Katelyn is a talented vocalist from the Canadian Prairies. Her song “Red” is a really great debut single. It has a really chill feel to it, has a catchy chorus you can sing along to, and features Katelyn’s great vocal ability.
About the single, Katelyn says “’Red’ tells the story of the ups and downs in a relationship and how sometimes, you simply need to take a moment to kiss and make up.”
She continued on her Instagram profile: “I’ve dreamed of the day that I’d put out my first song for a very long time. I’m so happy the day is finally here? Thank you to everyone who was a part of this project and to my amazing friends and family for the loving support along the way.”
Music run through her veins. Katelyn Lehner made her first appearance on stage at just 3 years old! She received Royal Conservatory of Music vocal training and received medals from the Conservatory for achieving the highest mark in the province.
Throughout school, Katelyn performed and competed at provincial talent searches and festivals, and often took an award home with her. She even won first place at Yorkton’s GX94 Jr. Star Search in 2010.
Clearly, Katelyn is an artist to watch.
