Canadian Folk artist Colin Craveiro has created a solo project called Sail Cassady. His deep baritone voice is something that you have to listen to. We are so excited to introduce you to this great artist from Victoria BC, and his latest single “Mary Dream”. It’s such a whimsical song that completely captivates the listener.
The listening experience of “Mary Dream” is almost like a dream. The beginning of the song starts really happy and whimsical, but somewhere in the middle of the song, the tone turns a bit darker. Not quite to the point of a nightmare, but definitely turns a little darker.
It’s such a fascinating song!
“‘Mary Dream’ musically and lyrically weaves between cheerful and dark tones, written during a time of major self realization. The song explores the feelings and realities of being ‘in love’ during a long-term relationship and coming to terms with the swings of bipolar.” Sail Cassady continued on, “The first half of the song explores the happy, lovey moments associated with a young relationship – being generally thrilled to come home and be with your partner. The second half explores the darker, sadder, and more difficult moments of isolation and distance that one can experience as the spark is snuffed out by inner demons.”
The vocals of Sail Cassady is a deep voice that truly gives us some Johnny Cash vibes.

About Sail Cassady
Victoria, BC’s Man Made Lake has a new brainchild brewing up with the emergence of Colin Craveiro’s solo project Sail Cassady. Borrowing from the poetic and soulful sounds of Man Made Lake, Sail Cassidy haunts audiences with emotionally poignant tracks like “Simple Man” and “Leather Show Lovers”, or with playful, and nostalgic tunes as “Mary Dream”.
With the wealth of experience accumulated over the years playing front and centre for Man Made Lake on local stages throughout BC’s as well as on international platforms throughout China, Sail Cassidy is eager to experiment with a new, simpler sound that goes back to the basics of good music making.
In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
