Canadian Folk artist Colin Craveiro has created a solo project called Sail Cassady. His deep baritone voice is something that you have to listen to. We are so excited to introduce you to this great artist from Victoria BC, and his latest single “Mary Dream”. It’s such a whimsical song that completely captivates the listener.
The listening experience of “Mary Dream” is almost like a dream. The beginning of the song starts really happy and whimsical, but somewhere in the middle of the song, the tone turns a bit darker. Not quite to the point of a nightmare, but definitely turns a little darker.
It’s such a fascinating song!
“‘Mary Dream’ musically and lyrically weaves between cheerful and dark tones, written during a time of major self realization. The song explores the feelings and realities of being ‘in love’ during a long-term relationship and coming to terms with the swings of bipolar.” Sail Cassady continued on, “The first half of the song explores the happy, lovey moments associated with a young relationship – being generally thrilled to come home and be with your partner. The second half explores the darker, sadder, and more difficult moments of isolation and distance that one can experience as the spark is snuffed out by inner demons.”
The vocals of Sail Cassady is a deep voice that truly gives us some Johnny Cash vibes.
