Robyn Ottolini Ties Down a New Single with “Wranglin’ The Wind”

Robyn Ottolini's Wranglin' The Wind

Tapping into her wild-hearted spirit, Robyn Ottolini releases a love song like no other, entitled “Wranglin’ The Wind”.

After releasing her latest EP, Growing Up To Do, back in 2024, Robyn has given nothing but hit after hit.

With this new single, Robyn has certainly wrangled the ears of country fans, and leading into the release of her debut album, A Safe Place To Land, she has everyone asking for more.

Down to Earth Roots and Proud

Having been born and raised in small-town Uxbridge, Ontario, Robyn has explained that growing up in this town has made her feel more normal than anything. It’s amazing that such powerful music surrounding love, heartbreak, and all the good and bad in between, can be rooted back to such a small town.

Coming from small towns where everyone knows everyone, and feeling like it’s easy to fill the mold that was once created, Robyn has always made her own path. From pushing to release her single “F-150”, to exploring her own style of country music, she has built her brand wholeheartedly, knowing she is being who she wants to be. Having roots in the country, and having a respect for country music, adding her own twist may be one of the reasons her music has brought her this success.

Front Porch had the opportunity to sit down and learn more about Robyn’s journey and how it’s gotten her here today. Give this article a read if the need to know more sparks your interest.

Wrangled Spirit in the Power of Lyrics

Writing about falling in love isn’t easy, and isn’t something everyone can do. But, if there’s one person who can encapsulate the feeling of finding someone whose energy matches your own, it’s Robyn Ottolini.

“Wranglin’ The Wind” isn’t just a love song, it’s a song about feeling a way you’ve never felt before, and realizing the other person is feeling the same. As Robyn describes it, “it’s a love song for those who have the ability to let someone be as wild as the wind and in doing so, makes the wind want to settle down every once in a while”. Some feel like falling in love leads them to losing themselves while getting lost in becoming a partner to someone. Robyn shows in this song that it might be hard to do, but having that person who can be as wild as the wind, and as wild as you, is something only few can cherish.

Nobody till his has seen what he sees
I’m hell on the heart but heaven on the breeze
He knows that I can outrun him and when I think I’ve done it
He’s pulling me back in
Oh, look at him go, hell God only knows
How he’s doing it without a lasso
He aint ever though about ever tryna tie me down
He don’t rain on my rodeo
I don’t know how he does it but he’s doin it again
Oh, look at that man, he’s wranglin’, wranglin’ the wind

Robyn has always been accredited for her hard hitting, deep and meaningful lyrics, which is beautifully displayed in this song. With this song being featured on her upcoming album, and how often her previous songs remain on every country playlist, the excitement for what’s to come is indescribable.

Creating Beautiful Music Without a Lasso

Much like the song describes taking a chance on allowing yourself to fall in love with a wild spirit, Robyn took a chance on releasing a song with this stance on falling in love. It’s often described how easy it can be, and how simple it is. This song shows a different story, and how you have to step back and realize that it may not make sense, how you’re falling in love that is, but it’s happening in front of your own eyes.

Being freespirited, Robyn exemplifies that sometimes love happens, even when you don’t think it’s time, one person can make your journey change, and suddenly that journey is everything you’ve been looking for.

This twist on a classic love song brings so much joy to the ears listening to it, and much like Robyn in the music for this single, makes you want to dance through a field belting these lyrics, they’re just that good.

You’ll Never See Her Coming, but Begging for More

In 2026 alone, Robyn has been working to give us what we all want. That being, more Robyn. With an album on the way, a festival appearance later this year, this certainly isn’t the last time you’ll be hearing of Robyn Ottolini this summer. As a lifetime concertgoer, I found my love for country music pretty early, and it’s been a journey ever since. Aside from attending any live show I can get to, I love live sports, specifically volleyball, crocheting, anything pop culture, and sharing my love of live music with everyone around.
