Rising BC-based country artist Annika Catharina releases her sophomore EP, “Up All Night” today, bringing together seven songs that showcase her evolution as both a songwriter and artist.
Produced by longtime collaborators, The Renaissance (Dan Botch and Garrett Ward), the project expands beyond the love stories that defined her 2025 debut EP, “You and Me”, introducing more rock and folk influences while staying rooted in country storytelling.
Getting A Little Deeper With “Up All Night”
“This EP is inspired by things that can keep us up at night,” Annika shares. “Ideas, stories, songs that make us want to dance, and the deeper thoughts we have as we experience life and discover who we are.”
That balance of reflection and fun is woven throughout the project. Up All Night explores everything from embracing chaos and learning from the past to looking ahead with confidence and self-awareness, giving listeners a fuller picture of where Annika is today.
The EP features four previously released singles alongside three brand-new tracks.
Three Brand New Songs Include Title Track
Fans will recognize “Old Habit,” a song about breaking free from unhealthy patterns that has already surpassed 800,000 Spotify streams. “Dancing with the Devil” delivers a fiery response to bad behaviour, while “Better Hands” captures the comfort of finding someone who makes life feel a little easier. “Under Covers” rounds out the familiar favourites as an empowering anthem about women taking control and having fun.
New songs “Cartwheels,” “Won’t Be You Tonight,” and the title track complete the collection, exploring nostalgia, moving on, and the complicated emotions that come with love and loss.
Up All Night arrives after an impressive run for the Fraser Valley, B.C. artist. Since 2024, Annika has amassed more than three million digital streams, landed a Billboard Canada Country Top 50 single with “Love and Hate,” and earned recognition from iHeartRadio, Rogers, SiriusXM, Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. She has also become a two-time SiriusXM Top of the Country chart-topper and was named a finalist in both the 2025 SiriusXM Top of the Country Competition and the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase.
