You know what’s exciting? Finding new artists to introduce you to. I’m really excited to share Chris Baillie’s debut single “One More Minute” with you.
“One More Minute” is a great introduction to this incredibly talented Canadian country newcomer from Mississauga ON. The song starts soft and draws you in from the snap of a finger (literally … the song starts with a finger snap).
From there, Chris’ smooth vocals take over to keep you hooked. This song showcases Chris’ vocal ability and his skill at telling a damn good story.
The lyrics of the song paint a picture that we can all relate to on some level. It’s a song about wishing all of life’s great moments would last for an extra minute longer. Who can’t relate to that? It’s a universal sentiment.
The song takes you through life’s biggest moments. From meeting ‘the one’, all the way to the end of life. So when you listen to the lyrics, it’s easy to start feeling what Chris is singing about.
“One More Minute” was written by some heavy hitters in the industry. Robyn Ottolini is credited as one of the writers. It was produced by Mark Schroor and Erik Fintelman. That team is basically the trifecta of a hit record. So Chris has himself one hell of team behind him on this song.

Even before the song was released, “One More Minute” left an impression as top 10 finalist for Corus Media’s 10k summer challenge from over 4,000 songs.
This may be Chris’ debut single, but it certainly isn’t the first time you’ve heard him. He has spent the last few years as the lead guitarist for both Matthew Runaway and Dylan Burke … Both Front Porch friends!
