The Cory James Mitchell Band are coming out swinging with their new single “Blue Collar Anthem”. It’s a banger of a song! It’s an anthem for all the working class people who help make our lives better.
We were first introduced to Cory James Mitchell at the 2018 Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase. Cory was one of the two finalists who competed for the coveted title of Emerging Artist. Although Kris Barclay ended up taking the title that year, Cory James Mitchell captured the heart and ears of the crowd.
Since his appearance at the festival, The Cory James Mitchell Band have been working hard, carving out their place in the Canadian country music industry.
This new single “Blue Collar Anthem” introduces us to a great hard country/rock sound. A sound that fills a void in the Canadian landscape.
It’s a song about working hard.
In talking about the single, Cory says: “It was written as a thank you to all the working class folks out there that put in countless hours and work filthy jobs to make the rest of our lives what they are.” Cory continued, “you work your hands to the bone just to make ends meet and we respect you for that and from the bottom of our hearts we say the biggest thank you the best way we can, through our music.”
We are so proud to be able to premiere this new single and introduce you to this great anthem.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
