Megan Moroney is bringing her show to the Qu’Appelle Valley. The multi-platinum Georgia artist is the first headliner confirmed for Country Thunder Saskatchewan 2027, happening July 8 to 11 in Craven.
It’s the 44th edition of a festival that’s been running since 1983. That makes Country Thunder Saskatchewan the longest-running music festival in North America.

The Pink Clues Were Hard to Miss
Before the name went public, Country Thunder left a trail that any Moroney fan could follow. Billboards went pink. So did the festival’s website and every one of its social channels.
Pink is the signature colour of Cloud 9, Moroney’s third studio album. Fans put it together fast.
Why Megan Moroney Fits Craven
Cloud 9 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and gave country radio “6 Months Later,” a platinum-certified No. 1 hit. She’s a record-breaker who can fill a main stage, and that’s exactly what Craven is booking her for.
Country Thunder founder and CEO Troy Vollhoffer sees it the same way.
“Megan Moroney is one of the most exciting artists in country music right now and the energy she brings to a stage is exactly what Country Thunder Saskatchewan is all about,” he said.
He was also clear about who this booking is really for.
“This one is for the fans who have been coming to Craven year after year, some for decades, and who have made this festival what it is,” Vollhoffer said. “Bringing a powerhouse talent like Megan to our longest-running festival is our way of saying thank you.”
A Main Stage With Serious History
Moroney joins a long line of big names in Craven. Recent headliners include Morgan Wallen, Riley Green, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Bailey Zimmerman, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan and CREED.
Go back further and you’ll find Taylor Swift, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith and Kenny Chesney.
More than one million fans have come through the gates over the years.
More Than Four Days of Music
Country Thunder Saskatchewan has always been as much about the weekend as the lineup. There’s camping in the valley, plus food, drinks, shopping, fan experiences and late-night entertainment once the main stage wraps.
In 2026, the festival added Buckin’ Thunder Pro Bull Riding, putting fans up close with lifelong cowboys who have deep roots in the sport. The same year brought Rolling Thunder, a travelling museum that tells the story of more than four decades of the festival.
Weekend passes are available, along with a limited number of single-day tickets.
