[EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE] Matt Morson Releases Music Video For “True Country”

Matt Morson Music Video True Country

Ontario country singer-songwriter Matt Morson’s latest single “True Country”  is an authentic nod to his own country way of life.

He’s set to release the music video for his latest single soon, but we were able to get our hands on it a day early to share with you all.

About Matt Morson And His Latest Single

Matt Morson lives and breathes the country lifestyle he sings about in his latest single.

About the song, Morson says, “I wanted to write something that walks the line between being a fun summer smash and an unapologetic in-your-face country tune.”

“In addition,” he continued, “I wanted to deliver an honest message that could also act as a friendly nudge against some of the stereotypes that are promoted by mainstream country music – about everything from the way people look to what they drive, and what they do for fun.”

From a small town north of Toronto, Matt understands what it is to live that country life.

“In my neck of the woods, we come from all walks of life, and it’s nowhere near as easy as it might seem to others. We struggle, we scrape by, we work like dogs, and we have as much fun as our time allows us, before the grind starts all over again. The common bond between everyone in the country way of life is that we all do the best we can.”

Morson has built a reputation of being an enthusiastic and seasoned performer. He has opened for artists like Paul Brandt, JoJo Mason, Bobby Wills, Doc Walker, George Canyon, and River Town Saints.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
