We are so excited to be able to introduce you to Canadian country artist Matt Teed and his latest single “Whatcha Thinkin'”. It’s a fantastic song that’s gonna get you moving.
“Whatcha Thinkin'” is an upbeat song that’s impossible to only listen to once. When the song ends, you have to press repeat!
The song starts off chill with light guitar and soulful vocals. But by the time the chorus comes around, the drums and electric guitars come in to pick it up. It’s a really interesting transition … and we dig it! The high energy continues right to the end of the song.
This song was cowritten and produced by Shawn Moore. When talking about the song, Matt says: “This was such a fun track to bring to life but easily the coolest thing about this song was hearing it evolve.”
“The writing was seamless,” he continued, “Shawn Moore and I sat down one day with this really simple ‘Whatcha Thinkin” concept – a feeling everybody’s experienced at one point or another – and we cruised through this upbeat, sexy acoustic track that just felt like something really exciting […].”
“When we started to build it up and bring in the incredibly talented guys that played on the track, you could feel every layer add this awesome new level to the song.” Matt continued by saying, “the song itself is tons of fun and it’s catchy and I really think it speaks to my personal energy but man, the coolest thing was watching this track evolve like it did – kudos to the band and the team working with me to bring it to life.”
