Owen Riegling Wins The 2022 Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase

After another exciting weekend for emerging artists, Owen Riegling has taken the title of 2022 Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist presented by Coors Original.

From small town Mildmay, Ontario, Owen and his band came to Boots and Hearts to put on a show!

Looking right at home on the Front Porch stage Thursday night, Owen took that energy over to the main stage where he had the crowd cheering even before he started his song.

Owen and his band played “Gettin’ Full”, which he released a video live off the floor back in June of this year.

The Moment Owen Was Crowned The Emerging Artist

The crowd fell silent as two incredibly talented young artists walked to the front of the stage. We can only imagine it was a tough decision for the judges because both Owen Riegling and Taylor-Rae put on the performance of a lifetime.

When Owen’s name was called, an intense cheer came from thousands of people across Burl’s Creek, in support of this year’s Emerging Artist Showcase winner.

Both finalists played one more song right before Robyn Ottolini for the crowd and for the judges, where they absolutely crushed that stage.

The Emerging Artist Showcase brings some of Canada’s top emerging talent to the forefront of country music.

Owen Riegling has won:

  • A single release with Universal Music Canada
  • The opportunity to perform at the 2023 Boots & Hearts Music Festival
  • Management sessions from The CORE Entertainment
  • Digital marketing and coaching from Front Porch Music

We can’t wait to see what Owen Riegling gets up to over the next year!

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
