This week in Canadian country music was another big one for Aaron Goodvin. He continues to dominate the charts with his singles Lonely Drum and Miss Me Yet. Other than that, It’s exciting to see some new faces this week.
The Reklaws have yet to have a single reach the top of the charts for sales. So it’s really great to see them come out as the number 1 single for the week! Way to go!
The Reklaws – Long Live The Night
This sibling duo has been working hard ever since their win at the Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase in 2013. Universal Music Group has been nurturing this duo ever since. It seems as though they feel this duo is ready to hit it big! They’ve been putting quite a bit of resources behind them for promotion. It’s great to see these two seeing some pretty big success with their latest single Long Live the Night. They did a great job performing it on Your Morning – give it a watch!
Brett Kissel – Anthem
This is week 3 as one of the top selling singles for Brett Kissel’s Anthem. It’s a really great song, and totally different from his usual sound. The music video is super cool! It’s a psychedelic, visual piece of art. This song could definitely be a cross-over single for Brett. Although, it’s unlikely non-country radio will play a song featuring a man in a cowboy hat, but it’s not like it would be the first time (just think Nelly ft. Tim McGraw). Take a look at this music video.
Aaron Goodvin – Lonely Drum
This is a really great song, and the millionth week that Lonely Drum has been on the top of the Canadian country music charts. We’ve talked about this single so much, that there’s really not much to more to say other than congrats!
Aaron Goodvin – Miss Me Yet
Hi again Aaron! Great to see you here! It must feel great to be the top selling Canadian country artist for the 300 millionth time. How bout next week ya give someone else a shot at it?
(totally kidding, we’re so happy he’s here and putting out killer music!)

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
