This annual event gives the station’s listeners the opportunity to donate to this world-class hospital and help change the lives of sick kids across Eastern Ontario. It was just announced that together they raised $40,235

Country Artists Who Supported The Country 101.1 Country Cares Radiothon for CHEO

The Hunter Brothers

Madeline Merlo

The River Town Saints

Tim Hicks

These Tweets are all very similar – almost word for word copies. So it’s clear that the station’s management enlisted the help of these artists. It’s too bad that they didn’t make these promos a little more unique, but the support is still great! The Canadian country music community is the most supportive group of people. It’s no surprise they all agreed to help support this cause.

Way to go Ottawa! It was a great day to be a country fan in the Nation’s capital. Your generosity will be sure to go a long way.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
