Top Canadian Country Songs – February 13 to February 19, 2018

Canadian country band the Washboard Union

It’s a new week, which means a new list of top songs in Canadian country music! We’re very excited to share this week’s list with you – it features 2 brand new singles to enter the charts by artists we haven’t seen here in a while.

It’s another big week for Aaron Goodvin with 2 singles on the top selling country chart. Hey Aaron! Give some other artists a chance to chart 😉 . Totally kidding, you absolutely deserve it.

Brett Kissel – Anthem

This is the second week on the charts for this new Brett Kissel song, but this week, it has become number 1! Anthem is such a departure from Brett’s usual sound – it’s a really nice change, and it sounds killer on the radio. It’s impossible not to tap your toes, and wiggle your butt when you’re listening to this song. This singe made it to the top of the charts very quickly becoming the number one Canadian country song for the week.

The Washboard Union – What We’re Made Of

A new entry to the list! It’s always so exciting to see a new list of artists in the top Canadian country songs. This is a fun song from this talented trio. It’s always kind of funny to hear such great voices and harmonies from the bearded members of the band – not sure why, but it always strums the funny chord!

Aaron Goodvin – Lonely Drum

Listen. This is a huge deal for Aaron Goodvin to have been on the top selling charts for so long. But, there’s seriously not much else we can say about his single Lonely Drum. Great song – check it out if you haven’t already.

Tebey – Denim on Denim

Hey! Here’s an artist we haven’t heard from in a long time. Tebey has taken a bit of a break for the last couple of years to focus on family and life. During his time off he did a little bit of writing for other artists, and now is back! This song Denim on Denim is true Tebey and we couldn’t love it more! It’s so great to hear him back on the radio.

Aaron Goodvin – Miss Me Yet

It’s really nice to hear a different song from Aaron Goodvin on the top list of Canadian country music. Miss Me Yet is a change of pace from Aaron’s typical singles. It really showcases his range, and proves that he has staying power in this competitive industry. A music video will be released shortly, but for now, check out his lyric video.

These top 5 Canadian country songs for the week have been added to the Top Canadian Country Music playlist on Spotify. Subscribe to this playlist, it gets updated every week with top Canadian country songs – both in sales and in radio airplay.

The data for the top selling songs in Canada comes from Neilson SoundScan.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
