Matt Martin’s New Single “I Wanna Be There”

Canadian country artist Matt Martin

Matt Martin is back with his latest single, “I Wanna Be There from his November EP release, Where the Flowers Bloom. Coming off the heels of his summer track, “Passenger Seat“, “I Wanna Be There” shows us a softer side of Martin.

“I Wanna Be There” is a story of going through life together, wanting to be there no matter what, even if it’s not in person, and supporting the one you love through their experiences. It’s also a story of being apart physically, but not emotionally.

This new single pairs soft and playful instrumentals with emotional lyrics. The song was written at the beginning of the pandemic. Combining a new relationship with distance and longing for one another, “I Wanna Be There” came from Martin’s experience in early 2020. His girlfriend touring and him being in Nashville was the first time they’d been apart since getting together.

As the next single released to radio, “I Wanna Be There” hit close to home for Martin, but also for listeners. After releasing his EP, this latest song received great response from listeners. It felt natural and like the right move for it to be the next single.

Lyrics To “I Wanna Be There” By Matt Martin

Everytime I see ya I know I’m gonna have to leave ya
I can’t handle that, when you’re not where I’m at
Cuz side by side we’re perfect, I can feel our heartbeats workin’ on overdrive
It’s a better life
No matter how far apart we are, I wanna be right where you are

Under every single sunset, under every single sky
When you wake up in the morning, when you fall asleep at night
When your whole world is smiling, when there’s tears in your eyes,
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, I wanna be there
I wanna be there

Everything you go through, I wanna go through it too
Just to build you up, to be your rock
I know this world gets crazy, gets in between you and me baby
But I’ll never stop, cuz you’re all I want

Under every single sunset, under every single sky
When you wake up in the morning, when you fall asleep at night
When your whole world is smiling, when there’s tears in your eyes,
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, I wanna be there
I wanna be there

Any hour any day, any chance anyway
Any time, any place, anywhere

Under every single sunset, under every single sky
When you wake up in the morning, when you fall asleep at night

Under every single sunset, under every single sky
When you wake up in the morning, when you fall asleep at night
When your whole world is smiling, when there’s tears in your eyes,
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, I wanna be there
I wanna be there

Matt Martin’s New Song on YouTube Music

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
