Canadian country artist Tenille Arts has been having a successful year, and it’s about to get even wilder! In just a couple short weeks, Tenille will be joining the biggest party of the Summer at the 2019 Boots & Hearts Music Festival.
Tenille Arts is an incredibly talented country singer-songwriter from a small town in the Canadian Prairies. 4 years ago, Tenille was one of the incredible finalists in the Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase. So coming back to perform at this year’s festival is almost like a homecoming for her.
We had the chance to quickly catch up with Tenille to talk about getting ready for this kind of show. “I’m so excited to be performing at Boots & Hearts!” Tenille told us, “I played the emerging artist showcase a few years ago, so I’m really looking forward to returning to the stage. We’ve been working hard on this show, and preparing some new songs, so I can’t wait for people to see it!”
Tenille on The Bachelor
Since her showcase at the festival in 2015, a lot has happened for Tenille Arts and her career. In January of 2018, her song “Moment of Weakness” was selected to be featured on the TV show The Bachelor. This appearance had put her on the map for a lot people across North America. It’s very rare for a national television show to book a new artist, especially one who sings an original song, but they really liked Tenille.
That appearance on the show was so successful, that they invited her back again in January 2019 to perform her original song “I Hate This”. Her first performance in 2018 also resulted in Tenille signing a record deal with Reviver Records – a Nashville record label. Clearly, Tenille definitely received the final rose from that appearance on The Bachelor!
Who is Tenille Arts?
As mentioned above, Tenille Arts is from a small town in Saskatchewan called Weyburn. From the age of 13, she has been writing music and performing her songs across Canada and the United States. Her 2016 debut EP peaked at #1 on the iTunes Canada Country Album Chart as well as cracked the top 100 on the U.S. iTunes Country Album Chart.
Since her appearance on The Bachelor, she has tallied up over 25 million streams, been featured in Rolling Stone magazine, CMT, and PopCulture. She was even named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know”. We can’t even begin to imagine the wild ride this must be for an artist from a small town in Canada.
We are so looking forward to getting the chance to see Tenille again and catch up with her at Boots & Hearts this year, but this time as a fully-emerged artist on the lineup. She will be playing on Saturday August 10th, 2019.
