BC-Based Singer-Songwriter Emma Kade’s Newest Single “Blue Collar Man” Is A Heartfelt Country Tribute To Hard Work And Sacrifice

BC-Based Métis country music artist Emma Kade’s newest single, “Blue Collar Man”, is available to stream now wherever you listen to music. You can watch the music video here:

“Blue Collar Man” was first shown to followers of Emma on her social media as just the chorus, inspired by the blue collar men in her own life, including her husband.

The overwhelmingly positive response she got encouraged her to flesh it out into its current state, releasing it as her second single of 2025.

Emma brings a lush vocal tone to the song, and you can hear her pride and warmth through her lyrical and singing talents.

For inspiration, Emma says, “when I was rehearsing for a show, the commotion of logging trucks around a nearby sawmill inspired me to look past the noise and lean into the moment as a song idea that later became “Blue Collar Man” – my own tribute to the hard-working people who are the backbones of many rural communities.”

Through the song, Emma pays tribute to the people and communities she feels are closest to her heart and soul.

“I grew up admiring those who take on tough jobs to put food on the table for their families,” she says. “‘Blue Collar Man’ is my way of celebrating the sacrifices they make and also giving back to those who encouraged me to bring this meaningful song to life.”

So far, “Blue Collar Man” can be found on Spotify’s “North Country” editorial playlist and the “Canada’s Country” editorial playlist on Apple Music.
