Albertan Brad Sims has released his new single “Long Good Night” to Canadian country radio. It’s a song that we can all relate to in one way or another.
We’ve all been there. Been with someone where you just can’t seem to be apart. You know it’s time to go home, but you’re just so in the moment, having such a great time with this person that you just want to stay up all night talking (or maybe not talking) to this person, and never wanting the night to end. Well, this song captures that feeling so perfectly – “It’s gonna be a long good night”!
This single has a real classic-country vibe mixed with some signature Canadian country sounds. The tone in Brad’s voice mixes effortlessly with the guitars, and the single really showcases his vocal range. When listening to “Long Good Night”, it’s easy to picture this single fitting into the mix of any country station – from classic stations, to new country stations, and it’s sure to sounds great on your playlist.

Lyrics to “Long Good Night” by Brad Sims
I could tell by her smile
And the look in her eye when she climbed in
A little smell good on her skin
Drivin’ me wild
I knew when the second her lips hit mine that it was on
Gonna be a long good night
I don’t wanna waste
Don’t wanna waste
Waste one minute of moonlight
Here in the dark
Here in my arms
Girl it feels like, feels like
When that goodnight goodbye kiss time comes
Gonna keep on holding on
It’s gonna be a Long Good Night
Red lights turn green and her blue jeans slide next to me
Ooh little closer now
As we show this town our tail lights
When those stars start burning and that hot sun is finally gone
It’s gonna be a Long Good Night
I don’t wanna waste
Don’t wanna waste
Waste one minute of moonlight
Here in the dark
Here in my arms
Girl it feels like, feels like
When that goodnight goodbye kiss time comes
Gonna keep on holding on
It’s gonna be a Long Good Night
Turn off the lights now
Turn on the night now
Get lost in you right now
Right now
I don’t wanna waste
Waste one minute of moonlight
With you in my arms
Girl it feels like, feels like
When that goodnight goodbye kiss time comes
We’ll keep on holding on
It’s gonna be a long good night
Gonna be a long good night
Real good night
In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
