Madeline Merlo Releases New Single “Neon Love”

Madeline Merlo's new single "Neon Love"

Stop everything! We have found your new Summer jam. Madeline Merlo has just released a new single called “Neon Love” and it is pure gold!

Right from the opening guitar slide you can tell this is going to be a total earworm. After listening to this song just once you’ll find yourself already singing along by the time the second chorus comes rolling around.

“Neon Love” is a song about a night out at the bar or club. Not into the bar scene? Not a problem, this song is equally enjoyed outside on a patio, or around a fire. This is guaranteed going to be one of the top Summer songs of 2018 – mark our word!

This single is a follow-up to her huge hit “Motel Flamingo” which entered the top 10 on the Canadian country charts pretty quickly. With singles like “Motel Flamingo” and “Neon Love”, Madeline is proving that she is the authority on Summer songs.

This is going to be a big Summer for Madeline Merlo. She’s performing at some pretty huge festivals across Canada including: Sound of Music Festival, Boots & Hearts Music Festival, Country Thunder, Winding Roads Country Festival, and more.

She’s also teamed up with Palm Bay to help promote their new Mimosa Palm Bay. Together they are going on a cross-country Brunch Tour where fans can enter to win brunch for 2, a private acoustic performance by Madeline, and of course some Palm Bay Mimosas.

No word yet on when the music video for “Neon Love” is going to be released. You can bet it’s going to be a good one though! We’ll keep you updated when the music video is published.

Lyrics to ‘Neon Love” from Madeline Merlo

There’s a long line up down the street outside
They can roll it up in their daddy’s ride
Like they just got paid, head straight to the valet
No room at the bar you can barely move
People getting by the service in the corner booth
Sipping $1K champagne, must be somebody’s birthday

And there’s drunk girls in the bathroom
Acting like they’re best friends, talking boyfriends
Yeah you know they do, like grown up high school

Girls looking for a guy with money to blow
Guys looking for a girl they can get back home
Numbers on napkins, shots on shots
Everybody work, work, working what they got
Like the whole room just turned 21
Some looking for forever, some just for fun
All the names are new and the night is young
Everybody in here just falling into neon love
Love (Na na na na, na na na na)

It’s a whiskey kiss, making out like eyes
It’s hands on hips under dark blue lights
Moving slow, in the midnight glow

There’s still drunk girls in the bathroom
Acting like they’re best friends, talking boyfriends
Crying mascara, holding their hair up (Hey!)

Girls looking for a guy with money to blow
Guys looking for a girl they can get back home
Numbers on napkins, shots on shots
Everybody work, work, working what they got
Like the whole room just turned 21
Some looking for forever, some just for fun
All the names are new and the night is young
Everybody in here just falling into neon love
Love (Na na na na) Yeah (Na na na na)
Falling into neon love

There’s drunk girls in the bathroom
Acting like they’re best friends, talking boyfriends
It’s a masquerade, such a wicked game

Girls looking for a guy with money to blow
Guys looking for a girl they can get back home
Numbers on napkins, shots on shots
Everybody work, work, working what they got
Like the whole room just turned 21
Some looking for forever, some just for fun
All the names are new and the night is young
Everybody in here just falling into neon love
Love (Falling into neon love)
Love, just falling into neon love
Love (Na na na na) Love (Na na na na)

Music Video for “Neon Love” by Madeline Merlo

The music video for “Neon Love” is really cool! It’s a music video unlike any we’ve seen from a Canadian Country artist. Give it a watch here:

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
