Every single verse in this song makes you go “aww” right after it. This song is so cute, that it’s hard not to smile while you’re listening to it. Essentially, this song is about making a bold first move with somebody and jumping right in. According to Chad:

Forever’s Gotta Start Somewhere is about that bold first move in introducing yourself to someone new. For many this is a nerve racking experience, but in order for any relationship to happen there must first be a beginning. This is that initial step into what could potentially be a lifelong love. For me, these past few months have been a time of heavy goodbye’s, but I know all endings are necessary in order to usher in new beginnings. This song is about taking a chance and not looking back. Right now, that is the very credence of this next chapter in my life.

This is his second single released to country radio since signing with Universal Music Canada, and a great follow-up to his previous release “Dear Drunk Me”.

It’s been a wild couple of years for Brownlee. It had been about 2 years since we had heard any music from this great country artist. During this time, he reflected on his work, and where he wants to go from there. He made a huge career change and ended his relationship with MDM Recordings, and made a move over the Universal Music Canada. He allegedly left MDM in order to help reinvent himself and maintain his relevancy in the fast-paced music industry.

Regardless of his reason to have made the move, it’s just really exciting and refreshing to hear him on the radio again. We suspect that 2019 is going to be a fantastic year for Chad Brownlee, and that we’re going to hear him a lot on the radio.

Lyrics to “Forever’s Gotta Start Somewhere” by Chad Brownlee

8am on a downtown train
I woulda walked up and asked you name
Midnight in a crowded room
I woulda had to come talk to you
Anywhere, I don’t care
Forever’s gotta start somewhere

A dance floor of a dive bar
You woulda walked by and stole my heart
Summer night at country fair
I woulda stopped in my tracks and stared
And I woulda known right then and there
Forever’s gotta start somewhere

This could be the first night
Of the rest of our lives
We started something right here
You call it crazy
But I think we’ll make it
Forever’s gotta start somewhere
Forever’s gotta start somewhere

Girl I know, what you must think
Another guy tryin to buy your drink
Two for one on a Tuesday
How can a good thing start this way
Well it could end up anywhere
Forever’s gotta start somewhere

This could be the first night
Of the rest of our lives
We started something right here
You call it crazy
But I think we’ll make it
Forever’s gotta start somewhere
Forever’s gotta start somewhere

Yeah it’s a long shot
But it’s all that I got
Can’t let you walk out of here

This could be the first night
Of the rest of our lives
We started something right here
You call it crazy
But I think we’ll make it
Forever’s gotta start somewhere

This could be the first night
Of the rest of our lives
We started something right here
You call it crazy
But I think we’ll make it
Forever’s gotta start somewhere
Forever’s gotta start somewhere

Forever’s gotta start somewhere

Yeah it’s a long shot
But it’s all that I got
Can’t let you walk out of here

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
