Cory Marks Throws Down in Single “Outlaws & Outsiders” ft. Travis Tritt, Ivan Moody & Mick Mars

Latest single by Cory Marks

Canadian country rocker Cory Marks is hitting the ground running with his latest single “Outlaws & Outsiders”. This single is a rock heavyweight and features country legend Travis Tritt, Ivan Moody and rock legend Mick Mars from Mötley Crüe.

Marks is no stranger to the country/rock genre. In fact, he’s been in the game for years, but this latest single has really given him the spotlight. Released in late 2019, “Outlaws & Outsiders” has been performing well on the charts ever since its release. It’s not only performing well on the country charts, it’s also doing really well on the Rock, and Hard Rock charts.

“Outlaws & Outsiders” debuted at No. 1 on both the top rock and hard rock digital song sales chart, and at No. 7 on the country digital song sales chart. These placements on the Billboard charts are incredibly significant – particularly from an artist who hasn’t seen mainstream success at this level prior to this release.

The song is a heavy hit. Cory Marks clearly draws inspiration from artists such as Brantley Gilbert, Eric Church, and other heavy rock country artists. “We call our sound amped up country music, but it’s really country rock metal,” Marks says. “We’re trying to create a new path and a new sound in country music. I have songs that are fiddle and steel in tradition of Merle Haggard and Vince Gill and some that are very classic country.”

If you’re a fan of heavy rock and country music, you’re going to truly love this song. All these artists together have created a rock anthem for those who feel like outsiders and those who don’t belong. It’s no surprise that this song is continuing to perform so well.

Lyrics to “Outlaws & Outsiders” by Cory Marks ft. Travis Tritt, Ivan Moody and Mick Mars

[Verse 1]
Got a gipsy soul, I’m a rebel and rouge
And I’m always on the run
With a fire inside I ain’t ever gonna die
I’m a locked and loaded gun
When the matches strike and the gasoline lights
It’s only just began
One thing I learned is you can watch it all burn
But the flame ain’t ever done

[Pre-Chorus]
Raise ’em up a little higher, your lighters
Outlaws and outsiders

[Chorus]
Some call me a renegade, the enemy
Throw your hands up if you feel the same
Whoa, living life at the edge
Just say what you wanna say, or walk away
I’ll stand tall when there’s hell to pay
Ain’t no power higher
We’re the outlaws and outsiders

[Verse 2]
I was born in the dark with a fearless heart
And a taste for the other side
I was crazy ass kid, all the shit I did
I’m amazed that I’m still alive
They thought I’d change with a little bit of age
But you know I never will
Takes too much time to walk a straight line
I don’t have time to kill

[Pre-Chorus]
Raise your fists up higher, you fighters
Outlaws and outsiders

[Chorus]
Some call me a renegade, the enemy
Throw your hands up if you feel the same
Whoa, living life at the edge
Just say what you wanna say, or walk away
I’ll stand tall when there’s hell to pay
Ain’t no power higher
We’re the outlaws and outsiders

[Chorus]
Some call me a renegade, the enemy
Throw your hands up if you feel the same
Whoa, living life at the edge
Just say what you wanna say, or walk away
I’ll stand tall when there’s hell to pay
Ain’t no power higher
We’re the outlaws and outsiders
Outlaws and outsiders

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
