Shantaia was recently announced as a semi-finalist for the 2023 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase, played her first official Calgary Stampede, and collected a win at the 2023 SCMA Awards for Female Artist of the Year. 

Earlier this year, Shantaia released her debut album, which featured Top 40 single, “Broke To Brand New” (Stingray Trending Track, Rogers One To Watch), “Had a Good Weekend”, and “Damaged Goods”. 

In 2022, Shantaia was a Top 3 Finalist in SiriusXM’s Top of the Country competition alongside Sacha and Josh Ross. She also hit the road for the east coast leg of the Washboard Union’s tour.

From songwriting, to horseback riding, to “tricky bitches”, we had a ton of fun chatting with Shantaia on this week’s episode of On The Porch with Front Porch Music.
