Goodwin mentioned that “Perfect Stranger” would fit right into the Urban Cowboy soundtrack from the early 80s. “When we first heard the finished mix of ‘Perfect Stranger,’ the first thing I said to the guys was that this song would feel right at home on the Urban Cowboy soundtrack!”
It’s got that honky-tonk heartbreak feel, mixed with today’s production techniques.

Meet the Chris Goodwin Band
Straight out of Prince George, British Columbia, the Chris Goodwin Band is a powerhouse four-piece country group that’s been rocking the scene since 2019. They’ve headlined major events like the 2020 Rooftop Rock Festival and shared stages with big names like Brett Kissel, Dean Brody, and Corb Lund at the 2022 Best Damn Music Fest.
Their debut single, “Shot of Jack Daniels,” released in December 2022, hit #2 on various independent country music charts in Canada and the UK.
