The Heels Team Up With Aaron Pritchett For “Catch & Release”

The Heels Single "Catch & Release" ft. Aaron Pritchett

In the last few months, The Heels have been releasing hit song after hit song. For their latest, they teamed up with Canadian country icon Aaron Pritchett for “Catch & Release”.

“Catch & Release” is a really fun song, and it’s great to hear the flawless harmonies of The Heels mixed with Aaron Pritchett’s familiar vocals. This song features the sounds that we have come to expect from these three, and the addition of the male voice elevates this song and builds on their power, but never overshines it.

The song starts with Aaron’s familiar voice and when the ladies (Bobbi Smith, Brittni Dominelli and Kyla Rawlins) come in, it’s impossible not to bob your head along with it.

They wrote this song on their first trip to Nashville together. They knew that this was going to be a special song, but wasn’t sure it was the best song for their voice. But they loved it so they held onto it for themselves. They decided it should be a collaboration and they invited Aaron to be part of it. Thankfully, he said yes, and they were able to create this song together.

The Heels fill a big void within the Canadian country landscape … A trio of female voices singing in three part harmony.

About The Heels

The Heels have an interesting origin story. it all began at a North Vancouver café co-owned by Kyla. Brittni worked behind the counter, and Bobbi was a regular customer. The three made a big connection and decided to join forces rather than pursue individual solo careers.

Their debut single “Come Around” hit radio in 2017 and they performed at the Calgary Stampede and the Sunfest Country Music Festival further raising their profile in western Canada. They received six B.C. Country Music Award nominations in 2018, with an additional slew of nominations coming the following year.

They’ve spent the past three years winning over audiences with a dynamic live show that showcases each of their distinctive voices and personalities. They’ve written over 100 songs during several trips to Nashville, and at their home-base in Vancouver.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for this talented Canadian country act. Whatever it is, we know it’s going to be good!

Lyrics To “Catch & Release” By The Heels ft. Aaron Pritchett

Lookin’ at me
Lookin’ at you
Reelin’ me in
So whatcha gonna do
Don’t let me down
Don’t let this drown

Oh well I won’t get caught
Up in no game
Of pickin’ me up
And throwing me away
I ain’t that type
Don’t be “that” guy

This ain’t no catch and release
If I get you hooked on me
I don’t know what’s goin’ through your mind
But I know what’s goin’ through mine
I like your hand on my hips
And I like the taste of your kiss
On my lips but no this
Ain’t no catch and release

Yeah everything
Is falling into place
I need to know
Are we on the same page?
Will you drop me a line
After tonight?

This ain’t no catch and release
If I get you hooked on me
I don’t know what’s goin’ through your mind
But I know what’s goin’ through mine
I like your hand on my hips
And I like the taste of your kiss
On my lips but no this
Ain’t no catch and release

I can go with the flow
Baby all you need to know is

This ain’t no catch and release
If I get you hooked on me
Don’t know whats goin’ through your mind
But I know what’s goin’ through mine
I like your hand on my hips
And I like the taste of your kiss
On my lips but no this
This ain’t no catch and release
If I get you hooked on me
I don’t know whats goin’ through your mind
But I know what’s goin’ through mine
I like your hand on my hips
And I like the taste of your kiss
On my lips but no this
Ain’t no catch and release
Yeah this ain’t no catch and release
