Canadian Country Duo Sons of Daughters Latest Single “I Picture You”

Sons of Daughters New Single "I Picture You"

Sons of Daughters were introduced to Front Porch Music about a year ago with their debut release, “Ain’t Gonna Be Lonely Long“. The duo had a busy 2019, including the release of their first EP, Love in a Bar.

Sons of Daughters kicked off 2020 with the release of their single “I Picture You“. The duo seem to have figured out the trick in blending country music with pop. If you’ve had a chance to listen to Love in a Bar, their sound has become familiar, however unique to the group. The duo explained the notion of “I Picture You” best themselves;

“We wanted to capture the timeless and heartfelt notion of ‘the one who got away’”, said Chrystal Leigh and Jimmy Thow. “Sometimes you lose touch with people you were once close with and every so often you catch yourself thinking about them. This song is the answer to the universal question: ‘I wonder if they ever think of me?’”

Leigh and Throw co-wrote “I Picture You” alongside Nashville writers, Gavin Slate and Travis “T-Buck” Wood. The genuinity of the song comes from the draw on personal experiences, which really helped to shape the story. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; Leigh and Throw’s voices are a match made in music heaven.

We’re looking forward to what 2020 brings for Canadian country music and Sons of Daughters. They will be spending the next couple months touring through Ontario with Tebey and Meghan Patrick. Click here to catch them in your area.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
