Morgan Griffiths joined us On the Porch to talk about the whirlwind that has been his life the last year and a half. He went from shy kid to full-time artist, quit his job, and has been building momentum with radio success, making the final 3 for SiriusXM’s Top of the Country and having his first CCMA nominations.
He also shares the story behind his latest single, “Boondocks”, how Top of the Country has opened new doors and taken him to new places, and what it feels like to head into the CCMAs as a nominee.
Morgan picked up guitar during COVID, started by playing covers, and eventually began writing his own songs by humming melodies over chords. He grew up fairly shy, and playing music has helped him break out of his shell and become comfortable performing in front of people.
