Live country music, perfect weather and a hometown crowd singing along to The Reklaws? Fest2Fall Music Festival brought all of that to Cambridge, Ontario, for a night of country music that felt a little closer to home for everyone.
Curated by Farm League Brewing, Fest2Fall is an annual music, food and drink festival that brings people together in the Waterloo Region. We attended country night, headlined by Cambridge natives The Reklaws, along with Dean Brody, and performances from Nate Haller and Chase Varnes.
Taking place at Dickson Park in the heart of Galt, the festival offered a fun evening of live music in a smaller, more intimate setting. Honestly? There’s something pretty special about seeing country music artists perform in their own backyard, especially when the crowd is just as excited to be there.
So, what’s Fest2Fall like, and is it worth checking out in 2027?
Festival Review Criteria
As always, we’re looking at the festival experience across five categories:
Venue & Organization: How the space is laid out, how smoothly things are run and the overall logistics.
Food: The variety, quality, pricing and availability of food options.
People & Vibe: The crowd, atmosphere and overall energy throughout the event.
Bathroom Situation: The number of washrooms, cleanliness and how long you’ll be waiting in line.
Performances: The lineup, sound and how the artists deliver live.
Venue & Organization
Fest2Fall takes place at Dickson Park in Cambridge, and I thought the location was a really cool choice.
Situated right in the Galt area, the festival brought live music into the heart of the community rather than taking place at a large, dedicated festival site. The event was set up within the baseball diamond, which gave it a fun, compact layout.
We had beautiful weather during our visit, and watching the sun set over the grounds while listening to live country music made for a pretty perfect evening.
One of the biggest perks of a smaller festival is that everything feels close by. Getting around was easy, and we didn’t have to worry about walking huge distances between stages or spending half the night trying to find our way around.
Entry was also quick and easy, and the event seemed very well organized overall. From getting into the grounds to finding our way around, everything felt straightforward.
There were also tons of vendors to browse throughout the festival, giving people something to check out between performances. Whether you wanted to shop, grab a drink or simply wander around, there was more to do than just stand in front of the stage all night.
Overall, I loved the smaller setting. It felt approachable and community-focused, without sacrificing the excitement of a live music event.

Food
There were some good options available, and it was nice to have a few choices rather than being limited to one or two things.
That said, I wouldn’t have minded seeing a few more food vendors. With such a great turnout, having additional options would have been a nice touch, especially for anyone planning to spend the whole evening at the festival.
Still, the options that were there looked good, and having food and drinks available made it easy to settle in for the night. I’d love to see Fest2Fall continue to expand its food offerings in future years, but overall, it was a solid part of the experience!
People & Vibe
This was where Fest2Fall really felt like a community event.
People from all over the Waterloo Region came out to enjoy the music, and there was a noticeable excitement throughout the grounds. With The Reklaws being Cambridge natives, their headlining performance was a particularly big draw. And honestly, how cool is it to see a hometown act return to perform for their own community?
There was a great mix of people enjoying the evening, all coming together for some live country music right here in Cambridge. You could feel how excited people were to have an event like this happening locally.
It wasn’t one of those festivals where you have to travel hours away or plan an entire weekend around camping and accommodations. It was a chance for people in the area to get dressed up, meet up with friends and enjoy a night of live music close to home.
The smaller venue added to that feeling, too. Everything felt a little more intimate, and the beautiful weather and sunset made the atmosphere even better.
Bathrooms
Okay, let’s talk about the bathrooms.
This was one area where the smaller festival setup was a little more noticeable. There weren’t a ton of washroom options available, and there were definitely lines at certain points throughout the evening.
That said, we didn’t personally run into any major issues, and the situation didn’t take away from our overall experience. Would more washrooms have been nice? Absolutely. But for an event of this size, it wasn’t something that caused us any major problems.
My biggest tip would be to plan your bathroom breaks strategically, especially if you’re heading over just before one of the headliners takes the stage!

Performances
Of course, the music was the main reason we were there, and Fest2Fall put together a great country lineup for the evening.
Country night featured Chase Varnes and Nate Haller, leading up to headliners Dean Brody and The Reklaws.
It’s a lineup that offered a great mix of Canadian country talent, with artists at different stages of their careers all sharing the same stage.
Having The Reklaws headline in their hometown made the evening feel extra special. There’s something different about watching an artist perform for the community they grew up in, especially when so many people in the crowd are there to support them.
Dean Brody was another major draw, giving country fans the chance to see one of Canada’s most recognizable country artists without having to travel far from home.
Combined with the gorgeous sunset and the energy of the crowd, the performances made for a really fun night of live music.
So… Is Fest2Fall Worth It?
If you’re in Cambridge or anywhere in the Waterloo Region and looking for a fun night of live music, I’d definitely keep Fest2Fall on your radar.
What I liked most was how local it felt. The festival brought people together in the heart of Galt, gave fans the chance to see some great Canadian country artists and created a fun atmosphere without requiring the scale of a massive music festival.
The venue was easy to navigate, entry was smooth, there were plenty of vendors to explore, and the weather couldn’t have been better for an evening of country music.
There are a few areas that could be improved, particularly having more food vendors and additional washroom options. But those things didn’t take away from what was an enjoyable evening overall.
And with The Reklaws returning to their hometown to headline, country night felt like a particularly fitting celebration of local talent and community.
Fest2Fall is a chance to enjoy live music, support Canadian artists and spend an evening with your local community!
