Brett Kissel Takes The Side You’ve Never Seen Tour Acoustic for Nine Holiday Shows

Brett Kissel - Holiday Tour 2026

The 23-time CCMA Award winner is bringing The Side You’ve Never Seen Tour back for a nine-city holiday leg built around a three-piece acoustic format. That means his multi-platinum, chart-topping hits pared back to their bones, with a few festive favourites mixed in for the season.

The run pairs some of Kissel’s favourite venues across Canada with stops fans have been asking for, in places this tour hasn’t reached yet. It stretches from Regina to Charlottetown, with plenty of Prairie and Maritime stops in between.

A Tour That Kept Growing

The Side You’ve Never Seen Tour first launched in late 2024. It has since grown into a multi-year journey, with stops in more than 50 cities across Canada.

This holiday run is the tour’s third leg. Fans who’ve caught one of the earlier shows will get something different this time. Hearing songs built for big radio play in a stripped-back setting is its own kind of experience.

Bringing It Home to Bonnyville

One date stands out on the schedule: a homecoming show in Bonnyville, Alberta, at the Strathcona Performing Arts Centre on November 22.

It’s part of an Alberta and Saskatchewan stretch that also hits Lloydminster, Lethbridge and North Battleford, before the tour heads east to close out in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

The Songs Behind the Résumé

Kissel’s track record is hard to argue with. He has 23 CCMA Awards, including the 2026 Humanitarian Award, plus 3 JUNO Awards. He’s earned 2 Gold-certified albums, 14 Gold singles and 6 Platinum singles.

He has more than 20 Top 10 radio hits, 4 of them reaching #1. He’s toured with Brad Paisley and Garth Brooks, and his list of collaborators runs from Charley Pride and Dierks Bentley to Nelly, 98° and Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine.

After the four-album rollout of The Compass Project, Kissel moved into a new chapter with Let Your Horses Run. That album gave him a run of Top 10 singles, including “Cowboys & Dreamers,” “Hurtin’ Songs” and the title track. Those songs should translate well to an acoustic stage.

The Holiday Leg Is a Rare Look

Kissel has spent years playing to big rooms with big production. This holiday run trades all that for three players, a few Christmas songs and a catalogue of hits that can carry themselves.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
