We’re “Trippin'” On Amy Nelson’s New Single!

Amy Nelson "Trippin'"

Amy Nelson is starting 2022 off on a bouncy note with the release of her new single, “Trippin’”. We’re excited to share it with you all too!

The song is a light and catchy way to get us out of the winter blues and have us longing for the excitement of falling for someone new.

Starting out with a fun, plucky guitar riff, the song then blossoms into a full blown chorus complete with horns and a hook you won’t soon get out of your head!

It’ll be hard to wipe the smile off your face after multiple listens!

As the winner of the 620 CKRM Proudly Saskatchewan Showcase, “Trippin’” is released by Open Road Recordings in an effort to bring Amy Nelson’s already blossoming career to the next level.

And she’s in good company!

Previous winners of the Proudly Saskatchewan Showcase include artists like Jess Moskaluke and Tenille Arts!

Written by 2021 CCMA Songwriters of the Year Madeline Merlo, Patricia Conroy, David “Dwave” Thomson and Tina Gemza, the song highlights “that roller coaster of emotions that can feel a bit out of control. I don’t really fall into love gracefully. I generally trip over my own feet.”  says Nelson.

Winning is nothing new for Amy. Her career has been highly recognized through the years, including 40 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards nominations with a 2018 win for Entertainer of the Year. Her third album, Good Intentions, was voted the #2 best album in Saskatchewan in all genres for 2019.

She’s even making an impact around the world, with her single “Hey Love” climbing to #6 on the Australian country music charts in 2019. And this month, she’ll be heading to the UK for AmericanaFest UK.

With this song, 2022 is already off to a great start for Amy Nelson, and we’re so excited to see where the rest of the year takes her.

She may be proudly from Saskatchewan, but now it’s time for the rest of Canada to discover her talents!
