Our friend Owen Barney has released his highly anticipated sophomore EP. No Road Too Long is a fantastic handful of songs and exactly what we need right now.

Since the release of Owen’s debut single “Letting Go” in 2018, he has become one of the most promising artists in the Canadian country music industry. With millions of streams, “Letting Go” was one of 2019’s top Canadian country songs here on Front Porch Music.

No Road Too Long consists of 4 singles including his summer hit “Thank Her For That”, and “Pour Me”. This song is a reflection on tough times and finding comfort in a glass of alcohol … which many of us can relate to during the crazy times we are living in.

This EP focuses on his drive and perseverance. His dedication to making music and sharing it with his fans.

“I’ve been really excited to release these songs as I’ve spent the last year writing every chance I get, just song after song,” said Owen. “It’s always tough to choose which ones you’re going to share with the world, and I feel these songs really show who I am as an artist and songwriter.”

2020 may be a weird year, but it’s been a trip for Owen. He’s earned more than 8 million global streams, his first Top 20 song and was named the Amazon Music Breakthrough Artist in September. His music video for “Thank Her For That” has been viewed more than 330,000 times. It topped the Shazam charts, and even helped him land a partnership deal with The iconic Canadian brand Roots.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
