The biggest country music festival in the Canadian Prairies is back, and the lineup is amazing! Country Thunder Music Festival will be happening July 11-14, 2019, and this lineup is going to give you serious FOMO.
The Canadian Prairies are incredibly beautiful (despite all the jokes of its flatness), but it might not be your number one destination for a Summer vacation. The Country Thunder Music Festival might have you rethinking your Summer plans. The festival has announced their lineup, and one of the most exciting parts of this lineup is how much Canadian talent is being featured – including one of the headliners!
This page will be your resource for all things that pertain to the 2019 Country Thunder Saskatchewan Music Festival lineup. As more artists are announced, we will update this page.
Headliners for the 2019 Country Thunder Music Festival in Saskatchewan
It seems like Dallas Smith never takes much time off. It’s been a big year for him. He released tons of new music, and he even got his rock band Default back together to release new music, and to hit the road. Dallas has been added to the Country Thunder Music Festival in Saskatchewan as the headlining act for Thursday night. It’s SO great to see a premier country music festival placing Canadian talent in the headlining position.
If you’ve never seen a Dallas Smith show, you’re going to have to check it out. There’s no other way to describe his shows other than electric!
The announcement of Jake Owen headlining Friday night at Country Thunder in Saskatchewan had us VERY excited! In fact, we had to throw on some of this music to prepare ourselves for the party that will surely take place. His shows are always really fun, and his music lends perfectly to the festival venue. You’ll be sure to hear some of his hits including: “Beachin'”, “I Was Jack”, Days of Gold”, and many, MANY more.
Fun fact. Tim McGraw smells like fresh laundry – the best smell in the world! We had the chance to meet him, and when he went in for the hug, you couldn’t help but be enveloped by the smell of laundry (random, right?).
But for real, Tim McGraw never disappoints – and his show at Country Thunder will be no exception. He is headlining the Saturday lineup. Just going to see him is worth making the trip to Saskatchewan!
Another fun fact. Chris Stapleton performed at Boots & Hearts years ago, before he became a household name. It was during a time slot that was very inconvenient, and on a side stage that didn’t have much room for huge crowds. We went to check him out, and boy are we glad we did! He played to a very sparse crowd (if you can call it a crowd). It was just him, and his guitar. The small crowd that was there all witnessed something amazing when he opened his mouth and sang with that gravelly sound we’ve all fell in love with.
Since then, his solo career has obviously exploded. His headlining show on the Sunday will definitely be something special, and we can’t wait for that experience.
