Top Canadian Country Songs – March 6 to March 12, 2018

Dallas Smith Top Single in 2018

This has been another exciting week in Canadian country music! Yes – Aaron Goodvin still has two songs in the list of top songs for the week, but there are two other new additions, one of them being a bit of a throwback.

Dallas Smith’s Wasting Gas has entered the charts again! This time for an acoustic version.

5. Aaron Goodvin – Miss Me Yet

Just squeaking in to the top five this week is Aaron Goodvin’s single Miss Me Yet. As we’ve said before, it’s a great song and totally deserves to be in the list of top songs for the week. Aaron has been enjoying some serious success with his singles from his debut album. Take a look at the lyric video for this song.

4. Leaving Thomas – Blame it on the Neon

So happy to see Blame it on the Neon from Leaving Thomas back on the charts! This is such a great song, and to hear them perform it live is an absolute treat. The music video is really simple and beautiful (if you ignore the acting at the beginning and end of the video).

3. Aaron Goodvin – Lonely Drum

A new week, another week where Aaron Goodvin’s Lonely Drum sits in the top 5 country songs. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the official lyric video for this song. There’s not much more to say that we haven’t said already about this great song 🙂

2. Dallas Smith – Wastin’ Gas (Acoustic Version)

It’s so great to see this Dallas Smith classic Wastin’ Gas make another appearance on the list of top Canadian country songs. This time, it’s an acoustic version! This version really showcases his great tone and vocal ability. Take a look at this low key music video. It’s like taking a glimpse into a jam session between friends. Also – in case you can’t find Dallas Smith, he’s the one with the lumberjack beard. Look at him go. Changin up his looks.

1. Brett Kissel – Anthem

Brett Kissel Playing the Guitar

And coming in at number 1 for the week is Brett Kissel and his latest single Anthem. It’s so nice to hear this song achieving such success. It’s a risky song for Brett. It’s so different from his normal sound, and is a song that is pushing the boundaries of country music, adding a little dance flair to the genre.

These top 4 Canadian country songs for the week have been added to the Top Canadian Country Music playlist on Spotify. Subscribe to this playlist, it gets updated every week with top Canadian country songs – both in sales and in radio airplay.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
