Front Porch friend, Francine Honey, has released a new incredibly emotional single called “I’m Coming Home”. This new song comes ahead of the release of her fourth studio album Unfinished Business.
Francine is a supreme storyteller. All her music is filled with emotion and passion, and “I’m Coming Home” is no exception. This song tells a wonderful story. It’s all about finally making the journey home after being away and missing it for so long.
This song is filled with emotion … it’s beautiful, sad, and lonely. When you’re listening to it, Francine’s voice carries you away to the place she’s singing about.
She said she decided to record the song and use it for her album as it became a sentimental tune for her and served as an important message for her fans during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. She described it as being filled with “hope and the promise of coming home.”
“We all need that (feeling), since this pandemic has created such loneliness in everyone … right?” she adds.
Francine Honey has a unique sound. She beautifully mixes a traditional country sound with blues tones. The result is a delicious rootsy, folk experience. We’ve experienced this with “I Carry On” and “Red Sky“.
We’re so thrilled to be able to bring “I’m Coming Home” to you. Be sure to stream it on Apple Music and Spotify.

I can see a long cold winter
I can see a long cold spring
My Breath is frozen on the window
I’m Coming Home, I’m Coming Home

The trees they do shiver
At the whisper of the wind
And the coyotes howling
Goodbye my friend, Goodbye my friend
(to Chorus 1, to instrumental)
Instrumental

I can see a long cold winter
I can see a long cold spring
My Breath is frozen on the window
