Brittany Kennell Is Laser Focused On Her Goals In New Single “House and a Dog”

Brittany Kennell Cover for "House and a Dog"

Brittany Kennell is a Quebec-based singer-songwriter who isn’t afraid to speak her truth and stand up for what she believes in.

“House and a Dog” is Brittany’s brand new single and she is telling it like it is; unapologetically happy with her independence and pursuit of goals.

Brittany Reminds Us That Our Priorities Are Valid, Even If It’s Not What Everyone Else Is Focused On

“House and a Dog” is an uplifting anthem that celebrates accomplishing one’s goals and prioritizing your future. Co-written with Nathan Meckel, “House and a Dog” was produced by award-winning Canadian producer Danick Dupelle, who worked hard to keep true to Kennell’s vintage rock roots while still pushing the envelope in commercial country.

Her debut album I Ain’t a Saint, which dropped in  September 2021 was all about honesty in relationships and zeroing in on the people who don’t make great partners in the dating world.

“House and a Dog” is the next phase of this message; taking care of your own path and setting your life up for success.

“House and a Dog” reminds us in this age of social media and the ability to compare yourself so easily that it’s okay to not be doing what everyone else is doing. Focusing on what you want for your future is more important than keeping up with everyone else’s lives.

Brittany delivers her message thoughtfully, but still keeps it cheeky.

Brittany Kennell Isn’t Slowing Down Anytime Soon

Brittany Kennell is back in the studio recording her sophomore album Pink Collar with Canadian producers Danick Dupelle and Ariel Posen in both Nashville and Montreal. Pink Collar is expected to be released this summer, just in time for warm weather and festival season.

Kennell’s hard work is paying off. Since the release of her debut album, she’s been performing on legendary stages such as the Bluebird Café and the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. She’s been discovered all over Quebec, opening for Matt Lang, and has earned her first Country Gala nomination for English Album of the Year. She also took the stage at a number of festivals last summer, including Boots and Hearts.
