Carrie Underwood has just released a new single called “Cry Pretty”. This is the first single from her upcoming (untitled) album. According to Carrie, it’s a song that “refers to when emotions take over you and just can’t hold them back.”

2018 has been a rough year for Carrie Underwood. It all started back in November of 2017 when she slipped and fell outside her house in Nashville. She needed something like 17 stitches, and broke her wrist. Since then, we haven’t really seen much of Carrie. She’s been hiding her face, staying private, recovering and working hard on new music.
As to “Cry Pretty”, “It really speaks to a lot of things that have happened in the past year,” she says, “and I hope when you hear it, you can relate those feeling to those times in your life. It’s emotional. It’s real. And it ROCKS!”
There’s no word on when the music video will be dropping, but we do know that she will be performing at this weekend’s ACM Awards. This will be the first time we are going to see Carrie since her injuries. The Internet has been going crazy over what she’s going to look like.
After her fall she mentioned that we may not even recognize her once she’s all healed, which has led to a lot of speculation as to what kind of work had to be done on her face. We’ve also noticed that since her fall, she has not published a picture of her full face – her right side is always hidden, or turned away from the camera.
We’re so looking forward to seeing her this weekend! The world needs a little more Carrie Underwood. Good luck Carrie, and congrats on the new single.
