A few months ago we introduced you to Ryan Connolly, and we’re really excited to share his latest single “Doors” with you all too.
“Doors” is a fantastic follow-up to his debut single “Riding This Town”. Where “Riding This Town” is a country rock anthem, “Doors” shows a more tender side to Ryan’s vocals and songwriting.
It’s a song that showcases the range in his songwriting, and in his voice. When you’re listening to the song, you can hear the rock inspiration in his voice, and it’s a sound that is lacking in the Canadian country landscape.
“‘Doors’ is about hope, faith, and change,” Ryans says about the song. “The human experience is full of trials and tribulations. We are all human. We make mistakes … we say things we don’t mean and we do things we regret.”
Ryan goes on to say, “‘Doors’ is about keeping faith in yourself and your higher power. Overcoming obstacles and succeeding is in all of us. We are the door keepers to our dreams. Dedication, patience, and faith will open any door.”
An avid music fan, Connolly grew up listening to punk rock and that’s really the genre that turned him on to music. He worked his way through classic rock and metal, and somehow found his way to country. He’s a big fan of 90s and 00s country music.

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
