Picturesque Upbringing In “Life Out Here”

“‘Life Out Here’ is one part growing up in Mission, BC, fishing in the creeks, and shooting guns. And the other half is where I am now, in Chilliwack, where I can see a corn field and sunrises, but live in a residential area. It’s a slower pace of living,” says lead singer, Dave Faber.

“Life Out Here” offers a bit of a nostalgic feel and will have you looking back on how you grew up. Did you grow up in a small town where you were breaking curfew, surrounded by the outdoors and a bit of a slower pace? Did you grow up in a city and find yourself drifting to the country for a break now and again?

No matter how you grew up, “Life Out Here” will have you thinking about dirt roads, farm fields as far as you can see, and all the mischief you can get up to in a small town.

“Life Out Here” Kicks Off New EP

“Life Out Here” is the first single to come from Faber Drive’s upcoming EP, due for release in 2025. “Life Out Here” felt like a fitting first single to the project; Dave had been playing songwriter rounds in BC, worked it into his set, and found it was a song that the crowd could easily partake in.

“I could get the crowd to sing that hook with me. People did love it. I was told it had to be recorded,” says Dave. It just made sense.

For those Faber Drive fans who were on the ride back in the pop-punk rock days; there’s still something for you in new Faber Drive music.
