Our annual list of Canadian country artists to watch has become a trusted source for fans looking to discover fresh voices and future stars.
These aren’t just names making noise … they’re artists redefining what’s possible in the ever-changing music landscape, carving their path, and earning their place in the spotlight.
This is Front Porch Music’s list of country artists to watch in 2025.
9 Canadian Country Artists To Watch in 2024
Every year, we have a lot of fun rounding up some stars on the rise for you to discover. In no particular order, here are the 9 Emerging Canadian country artists that you need to have on your radar for the next year.
Big things are coming for the class of 2025.
1. Cameron Whitcomb
Cameron Whitcomb, Nanaimo-raised and Kamloops-based singer-songwriter made his grand entrance via American Idol in 2022 – earning a slot in the Top 20.
He has since sealed a record deal with Atlantic Records, amassed a loyal TikTok following of over 1 million, and his current single “Quitter”, is charting across four different radio formats in Canada.
The iHeartRadio Future Star released his debut EP in 2024 and embarked on the Quitter Tour, which continues this year.

2. Sarah Vanderzon
Quebec singer-songwriter Sarah Vanderzon captured the coveted Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase title at this past year’s festival. With her unique folk-country style, she stood out as a talent to beat.
Sarah’s career took off when she took part in The Voice spinoff “La deuxième voix” coached by Quebec icon Roxane Bruneau. She then released her EP Same Sad Eyes and started to grow a following and fanbase.

3. Tony Stevens
Tony Stevens first crossed our radars with his single “Cochrane Avenue” in 2022.
Flash forward to 2024 where Tony had quite the year after signing with Willing Records. His single “Whiskey in Colorado” hit #8 on the Canadian radio charts and was named ‘One to Watch’ and ‘iHeartFutureStar’ by Rogers Media and iHeartRadio.

Tony was also a SiriusXM Top of the Country semi-finalist in 2024.
This year Tony opened for The Washboard Union on the West Coast leg of their “Grab The Wheel and Go” tour. Tony’s current single “When I Hear That Song” is currently #44 at radio and climbing.

4. Melissa Livingstone
Melissa Livingstone has been cutting her teeth in Nashville for a few years now.
She’s played coveted songwriter circles like the Listening Room, and Music City favourites like Whiskey Jam.
In 2024, her vulnerable single “More Time” captured the ears of Canadian country radio, earning her a Stingray ‘Trending Track’ along with her first Top 50.
Her brand new single “Horses Back” is out now and will surely continue to open up listeners to Melissa’s stripped back writing and style.

5. Lucas Mason
Lucas Mason’s talent was first showcased in front of thousands of people when he managed to convince Zach Bryan to let him sing “Heading South” with him at a show in Toronto.
Garnering hundreds of thousands of views online, the 18-year old has partnered with Daryl Scott at Honkey-Tonk Records, and just released his debut EP, Almost 18.
Lucas is kicking off 2025 with his first headline show, which he’s paired with a fundraiser and awareness campaign for cancer research.

6. Andie Therio
Andie Therio has played various festivals and stages, including Festival Country Lotbnière, the Festival Lasso Montréal and the Festival Western de St-Tite.
Andie received three nominations at Gala Country (Quebec) in 2024. Andie is also featured on the Wild Palominos single “Moonless Night In Austin”.
With her career growing in the Quebec music scene, Andy has opened for country favourites Brittany Kennell and Matt Lang. She received recognition in Quebec as iHeart Future Star with her Christmas single “Doux Noël”.
This emerging artist is just getting started, and we’re looking forward to what she has planned for 2025.

7. Trudy
We first met Trudy at the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase in 2023, where she was a semi-finalist. Her silky smooth vocals caught our attention.
Last year, Trudy was a Top 3 finalist in SiriusXM’s Top of the Country competition. She got to travel to Nashville, play CMA Fest, Lasso Music Festival, and perform at the Top of the Country Finale to kick off Country Music Week in Edmonton.
After the success of her 2023 album Go Solo, she released “Next To Me” and “You and Your Golden” last year. We’re excited to see what Trudy has going on this year!

8. Blue Ridge Band
Another act from Quebec! We predict it’s going to be a big year for emerging artists from this part of the country.
Blue Ridge Band are a talented group who know how to have a lot of fun on stage – it makes sense that they were finalists in the 2024 Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase. They may not have won the competition but that’s not going to stop them from having a massive year in 2025.
Blue Ridge Band won Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Quebec Radio Awards and were nominated for three awards at the Quebec Country Gala.
In 2024, they released singles “The Rush” and “Somewhere in the Sand”.
After spending much of 2024 on the road touring Quebec, they cemented themselves as a mainstay, but we believe this year will be their year to emerge beyond the borders of Quebec.

9. Savannah Jade
Savannah Jade is no stranger to Canadian country music … formally half of the duo Five Roses.
Now a solo artist with MDM Recordings, she released her debut solo single “He’s The One”, which earned her Stingray Trending Track, Rogers One To Watch, and a slot at #25 on the Canadian country radio charts. With festivals under her belt with Five Roses (Boots and Hearts, Sound of Music Festival), and performances at Country Music Week in Edmonton, she will also be playing Big Valley Jamboree in Alberta this year, with more announcements on the horizon.
Her next single “More Like It” will hit streaming platforms on January 17th. 2024 was a building block year for Savannah Jade, and 2025 is already off to an exciting start!

Will 2025 Be The Best Year For Music?
2025 is going to be another big year for music in Canada! With not only our Top 9 Artists to watch, we’re also excited to see a fresh crop of emerging talent enter the landscape and make their intros.
