Amanda Kind "The Good Fight"

This track was inspired by the first episode of Netflix’s MAID. Kind says when she watched the pilot episode of MAID, she was instantly drawn to the main character.

“Her will to survive was visceral. Change is terrifying, but sometimes staying in the same situation is scarier. I call that “the good fight” because the fight for a better life, as hard as it is, is worth it,” she says. Kind has been able to relate by fighting her own good fight in 2020 when she changed her own destiny. That’s when the magic of “The Good Fight” began.

The first verse was written in 15 minutes. That’s when she collaborated with Sam Hillifer to complete the song. With this song, Kind hopes to inspire others and have a form of connection to the track as listeners also fight their own good fight.

This is the fifth single and title track from Kind’s debut EP. The EP will include previous singles “Love Used to Live Here”, “Slow Dance”, “Rebel Spirit”, “Jumping Through Hoops”, and “Distant Memory”. The EP is three years in the making and truly encapsulates who Kind is.
