Based in Prince George, British Columbia, all four members have a history of playing in other bands across Northern BC.The band consists of Pat Michaud on lead guitar and background vocals, Steve Smith, bass guitar and background vocals, Chester Hewkin, drums, and namesake lead vocalist and rhythm guitar Chris Goodwin.
More to come from Chris Goodwin Band as they have plans to hit the recording studio this spring to work on the follow up to “Shot of Jack Daniels” as well as their first EP. Until then we will be jamming to the latest while enjoying Lynchburg’s finest and a Marlboro Red.
“Shot of Jack Daniels” is intoxicating
Produced by Connor Pritchard, “Shot of Jack Daniels” brings a hankering for a remedy for any and all troubles. This twangy tune will have you toe-tapping to its boppy beat.
The original song title came to Chris when he was young and has stuck with him ever since. Upon getting the opportunity to play at the Best Damn Music Fest last summer, these hometown boys wanted to write a song for the fans to dance and sing along to. Opening up for Washboard Union, Corb Lund and Dean Brody, “Shot of Jack Daniels” did just that.
“It turned out really well. The response at our live shows has been FANTASTIC”, Chris recounts on the band’s time on stage last summer.
The success of this release hasn’t stopped there. The local community and beyond have supported this captivating ditty on social media and streaming platforms, as well as country radio across Canada.
“To finally have this song released to the public is quite literally a dream come true!“ the lead vocalist gushes.
