Kelowna, BC artist Melissa Livingstone has released a single all about loss and love … but it’s not necessarily a sad song. “Gypsy Heart” is a song that’s open for interpretation.
In “Gypsy Heart”, Melissa Livingstone opens up about loss, love, and her free-spirited self. If you’ve loved someone, but knew the best thing was to let them go, then this song will be relatable to you?
It’s a catchy, but nostalgic tune which highlights being true to yourself. To make the tough decision, and live through your gypsy heart.
“Gypsy Heart” was co-written by Brian Palay and produced by CCMA winner Jeff Johnson. As for the message in the song, Melissa says: “You can decide whether it is a sad or uplifting song with the range of emotions that you feel through this melodic piece. This is the perfect song to listen to as you are driving down the highway during your next road trip.”
Melissa has a sound that is reminiscent of Miranda Lambert and Shania Twain. She brings a unique style and fantastic vocals to the Canadian country music industry.
Back in 2018, she won the Denim on the Diamond Talent Contest, which gave her the opportunity to perform on the main stage to open for Jojo Mason and Chad Brownlee. She was also a finalist in the Road To Rockin’ River Competition in 2018 and performed side-stage that year.
