2020 has been quite the year for Justin. He released his first two singles earlier this year and quickly became one to watch on the Canadian country music scene. Both singles received substantial radio play across Canada and received over 100,000 streams on Spotify.
The music video for his single “Think About You” has received national exposure. It featured fellow Newfoundlander and Big Brother Season 7 contestant Samantha Picco.
Sure Beats A Good Time has 7 new songs including the lead single “Sure Beats A Good Time”. This single has a chill feel that’s easy to listen to, and perfect for listening to around a bonfire. Another standout single on this album is “Makes Me Wanna”. It has a chorus that you’ll be singing along to over and over again.
“I wrote ‘Makes Me Wanna’ one morning in March when I was thinking back on a past relationship and the feeling of struggling to understand why you can’t get over someone,” Fancy says. “It was an emotional and frustrating time in my life. The song is all about committing yourself to the process of getting over someone but also realizing that we’re in charge of our own destinies. We just have to trust in the process.”
Sure Beats A Good Time as an album is a really great showcase of Justin’s talent. He’s credited as the writer for all 7 songs. The album showcases Justin’s songwriting skills and vocal talent. When you’re listening to Justin’s music there’s an element of familiarity to his voice that keeps you coming back for more.
