Jade Eagleson’s Debut Single “Got Your Name On It”

Canadian Country Artist Jade Eagleson

Canadian country artist Jade Eagleson has had a busy year! Earlier this year, his debut single “Got Your Name On It” was released to country radio and has hit the country by storm!

A homegrown Ontario boy takes the stage at the Boots & Hearts Emerging Artists Showcase in 2017. Less than one year later, not only is he getting to live his dream, but I’m driving to work every morning with a certain song stuck in my head- ON REPEAT. Jade Eagleson’s debut single, “Got Your Name On It is not only backed by infectious instrumentals, but flirty lyrics, and Eagleson’s killer vocals.

The playful lyrics are a light-hearted profession of love, from a night-sky, red wine date, to a long-term relationship with a tattoo to prove it. We aren’t too mad about his appreciation for the front porch either, with the line “Got a front porch seat for ya girl, if you can swing it.” We love an artist with their priorities in check!

The song was released in mid-May and made its way to my summer playlist, so it’s definitely been a good song to get us through the heat. The sound is definitely versatile, which has helped its popularity continue to rise into the fall. It has mainstream quality, but stays true to Eagleson’s traditional roots, as he’s noted inspiration from Randy Travis and George Jones, Keith Whitley, and Garth Brooks.

His voice turned heads at Boots and Hearts and captured the ears of listeners across the country. Got Your Name On rang in third on Top Country’s Canadian chart for October 1st, and remains in the top 20 on Billboard’s Top 50 For Canadian National airplay.

You can catch Jade Eagleson on the road across Canada with Gord Bamford and Jojo Mason on the Honkytonks and Dive Bars tour. Check out when they’ll be near your front porch here.

We can’t wait for Jade Eagleson’s next release.

Lyrics For Jade Eagleson’s Single “Got Your Name On It”

[Verse 1]
There’s a spot in my driveway
Where you can park your car
I know a place off the highway
Where there’s a sky full of stars, it ain’t far
Got a bottle of red wine
Just waiting for the right night
The right girl, the right time
Sounds good, don’t it?

[Chorus]
Well, it’s got your name on it
If you want it
Every day I got left
Every dollar in my pocket
That shotgun side of my F15-0
Girl, you know
I want you in it
Every minute
Got a front porch seat for ya girl, if you can swing it
My start, my end, my heart, my hand
You could have it right now if you want it
It’s got your name on it

[Verse 2]
Got a little space on the right side
Of this king size bed
And there’s three little words I… ain’t ever said yet
I’d spell it out in a tattoo
On my arm just for you
Right there in plain view
So the whole world knows it
(Knows it, knows it)

[Chorus]
‘Cause it’s got your name on it
If you want it
Every day I got left
Every dollar in my pocket
That shotgun side of my F15-0
Girl, you know
I want you in it
Every minute
Got a front porch seat for ya girl, if you can swing it
My start, my end, my heart, my hand
You could have it right now if you want it
It’s got your name on it
It’s got your name on it

[Refrain]
My sun up, sun down
My forever, my right now
If you like how that sounds
You might as well own it
(Own it, own it)

[Chorus]
‘Cause it’s got your name on it
If you want it
Every day I got left
Every dollar in my pocket
That shotgun side of my F15-0
Girl, you know
I want you in it
Every minute
Got a front porch seat for ya girl, if you can swing it
My start, my end, my heart, my hand
You could have it right now if you want it
It’s got your name on it
It’s got your name on it

[Outro]
It’s got your name on it
It’s got your name on it
It’s got your name on it

In country music, the Front Porch has long been a place of reflection. A place where you can look at the life you have inside that front door. A place where time almost seems to stand still, where you can get away. It’s also a place where you can go to observe the world as it passes by you. To think about your place out there beyond the driveway.
