Don’t Ask Me to Dance follows ten previous singles including 2019’s “Strong” and 2021’s “Get out of the Mud”. She has collected an impressive 1 million combined Spotify stream and YouTube views.

Don’t Ask Me to Dance has something for everyone

Justine struck a chord in her debut EP as an independent artist “Ever since we started planning this project back in 2021, my goal has been to challenge myself as an artist and create something relatable for others.” Hoping that listeners will find a bit of their story in each tune and bring a mutuality that we go through exploring life. “Dating is full of adventures – both good and bad – but always memorable, so it felt like the right theme to build the EP around.”

Track List and Breakdown

Starting off with two previously released singles, first,  “Hard to Love”, highlights the struggle of loving someone who is emotionally unavailable, getting tired of the “cold then the hot”. Number two is “Heart Less”, a snap track that reminds reckless behaviour in relationships happens when you ignore what’s in your head and follow your heart. “

“Cheap Sunglasses” is a ballad about a shield put up when keeping yourself closed off from getting hurt again. This tune is the next single to come to Canadian Radio in July, paired with a music video. “Waste The Weekend” is an upbeat song that exudes the feeling of lightheartedness when falling in love. The title track “Don’t Ask Me to Dance” can be summed up by the phrase “Know your worth … then add tax”. Being unbothered on a night out to have fun with just your friends.
