Montreal-based singer-songwriter Brittany Kennell’s sophomore album Pink Collar is officially out now!

Blending her love for vintage rock and modern country, Pink Collar is, well … a VIBE.

If you’re looking for a pep talk on love, breakups, living your own life your way, or leaning in to new love, there’s something for everyone.

Listen to Pink Collar wherever you get your earworms.

Hard Work And A Pink Collar

A labour of love, especially for an independent artist … Pink Collar is a collection of songs empowering women in love and in life, while learning to lean into a sense of confidence in your own path in life.

Pink Collar is a nod to the hard work of a woman, but also the reality that women are still overworked, underpaid, and working twice as hard for recognition and fair compensation.

Prominent themes throughout this album include taking your time with love (“One Drink at a Time”), letting go of a man who’s wasting your time (“Wait On You”), honouring your own path in life (“House and a Dog”) and the ultimate relationships – friendships that stand the test of time (“Together We’re Rich”).

An exciting surprise is the album’s first track “Wrong Horse” featuring fellow Canadian powerhouse, Kelly Prescott.

Other new tracks include “Grand Marquis” an ode to grannies in their divorce era, “Years” a collaboration with American country-rock artist Matt Kozoil, “Trophy Wife”, a reminder to be your own champion, and the final track “Good Find” a reminder that you can find love again.

Brittany Kennell’s Message About Pink Collar

Pink Collar is a vibrant album touching base on integrity, vulnerability, independence and confidence when it comes to one’s own journey in life, love and ambitions. This chapter of my life held a lot of self-awareness; learning a lot about who I was and my core values. Post break-up album, I was really searching for myself in my career, my relationships, how to open up to love again and where I saw myself further down the road. I really hope people listen to this album and can find themselves somewhere among the songs – whether they are tired of waiting on someone in love, looking for that second chance, or just wanting a house and a dog – I hope they can stand up for what they want and deserve out of life.” – Brittany Kennell
