Nanaimo, British Columbia’s own Joel Lee, is sending us a message … let’s keep the party rollin’ in his latest tune, “This Party Ain’t Over.”
Coming off the success of Joel’s Top 30 earlier release “Adrenaline,” he is aiming for this jam to foster the feeling of summer concerts and country music festivals that west-youtubcoasters know and love.
“I wanted to convey what it’s like being at a four-day country music festival on the morning of day three: hungover and tired, and still with another big night left to go.”
This song has a sense of fearless rallying. No matter the circumstance, Joel reminds us that the night is young and the party lives on.
Don’t let the impending Canadian winter weather stop you from adding “This Party Ain’t Over” to your current favourites playlist. It’ll give you nostalgia over summer 2021 and something to look forward to as we work through the winter season.
Paired with a rockin’ music video that “was a blast to shoot,” Joel recalls, this song is sure to make a splash. See how many personalities you can count that Joel dons in this music video.

“A couple of beers, and I’m Superman,” as “This Party Ain’t Over” tells.
This is Joel’s first shot at producing his own music, after recording his debut EP at Blackbird Studios in Nashville.
Touring, writing and recording with his sons Marshall and Brayden throughout the 2010’s, then launching his solo career, Joel has an impressive list of names he has shared the stage or opened for. Among these are Canadian heavy hitters Emerson Drive, The Washboard Union, and Chad Brownlee, just to name a few.
