British Columbia singer/songwriter Danielle Ryan released her new single “Weather Man” on April 16th, 2021. This is definitely one to add to your Spotify playlist.
Danielle has an effortless flow to her voice that sounds absolutely beautiful with these lyrics.
The song showcases Ryan’s country-pop sound and is a catchy tune about being in a relationship with someone who changes like the weather (which I’m sure many of us have experienced before).
“As a farm girl the weather plays such a big part when we’re making crops in the summer and the weather report was rarely right which would mess everything up,” said Danielle. “I was inspired by that concept and related to a relationship I had at the time.”
She said she felt as though many people would be able to relate to the song by connecting it with relationships. Because everyone has met someone in their life that says one thing and does the other.
About Country Artist Danielle Ryan
Danielle fell in love with music as a child, and at the young age of 13 is when she began her own musical journey by teaching herself to play the guitar and write her own music.
Later on, her desire to get into the country music industry grew and she began taking inspiration from some of her favourite artists such as Tammy Wynette, Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn.
“I would listen to some of my favourite musicians and think, I could do that,” she said, adding the desire was about more than just singing. “I taught myself how to play guitar and started writing from there. Since that day I’ve never looked back.”
Originally from the hills and valleys of rural BC, Danielle’s down-home work ethic allowed her to dive into the world of country music, taking from personal experiences new and old and using them to write her music (such as “Weather Man”), developing herself as an artist, earning her national media coverage, a Top-6 spot in the 2016 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Discovery Program, and winning Country Music Television (CMT)’s Chevy from the Tailgate Contest.
Danielle Ryan holds herself to a high standard and has a strong desire to do much more than just sing songs and create music that are meaningful.
“Above anything, I want my music to be honest,” she explained. “The priority is really to put out the best work possible, no matter how long it takes.”
