It’s the 3rd installment of what will eventually become a waterfall release of his debut-ep.

A Look at the Song
“NO GOOD IN THIS GOODBYE” highlights the struggle of moving on after a breakup and the nagging thoughts about what your ex might be up to after a not-so-good goodbye.
This isn’t your stereotypical slow, sad song though.
“NO GOOD IN THIS GOODBYE” has got a bit of twang mixed with a trap beat that makes it a great foot stomper.
Dawson explained that “NO GOOD IN THIS GOODBYE” and his earlier single “Back To Leaving” tell the same story about a relationship. His next song, “BLUE SKIES GREY,” will continue that story.
“The songs all work to paint the picture of the different emotions someone goes through during a breakup and how it’s not always a linear process,” Dawson said.
So… who is Dawson Gray?
Dawson’s path to music is as unique as his sound.
After a promising baseball career was cut short by an eye disorder, he picked up a guitar at university—and a new passion was born.
Working with fellow musician Ben Dunnill, Dawson discovered his knack for songwriting, leading to hits like “Running Back Home” and “All She Did.”
With his standout songwriting and electrifying live shows, he’s already opened for stars like ERNEST, Mackenzie Porter and James Barker Band.
Plus, he’s headlined 37 sold-out concerts across Western Canada and racked up over 3.5 million streams worldwide.
